Thames Menzshed

Tony Neighbourly Lead from Thames

The Thames Menzshed will open for the new year on Wednesday 15th Jan. Anyone is welcome to come & take a look, meet the guys who will be there to talk to you about what we do & membership.
We are also starting a Womenzshed & will be having an introductory meeting in early Feb to discuss the way the Shed operates & getting the group going who will use the Shed on different days than the men even though we already have lady member. There is already a group of ladies interested & if you send me your email, I can send you the details of the meeting & background rules & governance that we have set up for the men to work in a safe & great fellowship environment.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
