We are moving back to our Roche Street home!
The doors to our Te Awamutu Museum Education and Research Centre’s temporary Rickit Road site will close from Monday 14 July as we prepare to move back.
The Roche Street building has been made safer for taonga, visitors and staff following seismic strengthening work.
All going to plan you'll be able to experience Waipā’s precious taonga, including Uenuku, once again in late October.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
