It appears that that the costs associated with the rental scooters we have seen on our neighbouring city footpaths and streets are more substantial than has been advertised. The link at the bottom of this post has some interesting details. I wonder if we will see the demise of these menaces in the near future? I hope that something is done to reimburse the money taken out of the DHB's allocations by these profit making, accident causing "Toys"

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
