Recall issued for Countdown brand Trevally FIllets
Countdown brand Trevally Fillets sold throughout the North Island and online on the Countdown website has been recalled due to an elevated level of histamine, which can cause scombroid poisoning.
Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product label for best before dates from 16.Nov.18 to 26.Nov.18. Those who have this product between these best before dates are warned not to consume the Trevally Fillets and return the products for a full refund. Customers who have consumed any of this product and have any health concerns, are advised to seek medical advice. Read more
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
