Genesis Energy phoning for new business

Rosie from Parkvale

Have just had a phone call from a lady from Genesis wanting me to switch power companies. I asked about working in sales from a call centre during lockdown. She said that Genesis is an essential industry which it is. However its website says that it is open to serve its existing customers. So I asked the caller if I agreed to switch companies would I need to wait till the lockdown is over. Oh no, she said. All Genesis staff are available to switch you over at any time. I am appalled that Genesis is doing sales during lockdown with all the implications for their staff having to keep working on business as usual.
