8 x chicks in need of a new home
8 x chicks (4 black/4 blond) are in need of rehoming.
The mama hen was sold (along with the rest of her flock) when she was sitting on a whole passel of fertilized eggs. The new owners are not able to take 8 chicks in addition to what they already have, but they kindly allowed us to hold on to the mama hen so she could at least rear the chicks.
These little ones will be kept with the hen for another month or so (until we are well-satisfied they're old enough to hold their own without her), then they will all need rehoming.
Please PM me if you are interested in putting your name down for some, or even all, of these little darlings. They are free to good homes.
Breed: Orpington x Leghorn.
The supplied pics showcase: the 8 x chicks that need rehoming, the Orpington hen that is currently rearing them, and the Red Leghorn rooster who fathered all 8 chicks. Yes, he's a big boy!
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
