GARDEN MINI-MARKET at Te Puna Quarry Park, this Sunday, 8 Nov

Elly from Te Puna

Our Garden Mini-Market is on, this Sunday, 8 November, 10am - 2pm, in Te Puna Quarry Park. This is just 7 km out of Bethlehem, off SH2.

We are going ahead, rain or shine. You may need your gumboots or sturdy shoes and rain jacket. Most of all, please bring CASH, as we have NO EFTPOS on site. Also bring boxes or bags for your purchases.

On offer are a variety of plants, some pre-loved garden tools, some garden ornaments, natural cosmetics, honey & bee wax, and more, and you can enjoy our Devonshire tea and live music.

Note that this mini-market is in lieu of the large Quarry Fest that was organized by Lions in November of previous years, but was cancelled due to uncertainty around covid .

Hope to see you there.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
