Using Bergamot Essential Oils
Hi guys!
We're using bergamot essential oils in one of new soap ranges and I'd love to share my findings with you :)
Bergamot essential oil is deeply relaxing, restorative, and calming. This essential oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils in perfumes and fragrant products.
Bergamot also known as the bergamot orange can trace its citrus'y origin back to South East Asia. Interestingly, Bergamot is now widely cultivated in Southern Italty in coastal regions such as Sicily. The title 'Bergamot' was named after the city of Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy.
It also shares its legendary flavour and scent with Earl Grey tea!
This sweet, fresh essential oil is uplifting for the spirit and it's relaxing effects can help diffuse anger and frustration. Bergamot essential oil is one of the best oils when looking to support a good nights rest. Other uses for the essential oil have been to help manage situational anxiety.
It's important to note, that as an essential oil, it's very potent and has a photo-sensitizing effect on the skin. If you're deciding to use Bergamot essential oil topically, diluting it down is a must!
