Temporary detour on Ngatai Road
We’re making Ngatai Road safer for people who walk and ride. From Wednesday 4 March, for about three weeks, we need to close the west-bound lane beside the Otumoetai Health Centre while we build a new shared crossing.
If you’re travelling from the city towards Bellevue along Ngatai Road you’ll need to detour at the Otumoetai roundabout. People travelling in the opposite direction along Ngatai Road towards the city won’t be affected.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
