Hit n run - letterbox - any one see?
A car just rammed in to my letterbox between 8.45 pm and 8.55 PM on Cameron Road, Greerton, guessing they were trying to turn around as people often do. If anyone was driving past and saw the car and this happen, i would appreciate any detail. A worry though that surely they had to be drunk or under some influence to hit my letterbox so hard it split in half and was ripped off the post - I hope they get home safe without hurting anyone is my biggest concern.
They left and tooted before I had a chance to run out and get their license plate. I shouldn't be surprised but always like to believe the best in people, but they didn't come and see me to apologise or offer to cover the cost. I am a solo parent and student, it's disappointing when someone is reckless and not giving too hoots about how it might impact on another persons life and my daughter who is a promising soccer player counting on me for new shin pads, futsal boots and futsal fees for instance. I will still pay for these things of course because I need to support her dreams and skills, but the hit n run letterbox doesn't help!
🪱🐦 When are you the most productive? 🌙🦉
The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isn’t just a choice—it’s biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.
This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.
We want to hear from you:
1. When does your brain "click" into gear?
2. Would a flexible (or shortened) schedule change the way you work?
How can our communities manage a drop in school funding without losing the "soul" of our local schools in the Bay of Plenty?
New Zealand is seeing some big demographic shifts, and the reality is that shrinking school rolls are on the horizon 📉🏫
Since school funding and teacher numbers are tied to how many students are in the classrooms, our local schools might be facing some "belt-tightening" in the coming years.
Our question to you: How can our communities manage a drop in school funding without losing the "soul" of our local schools in the Bay of Plenty?
🌉🛶 Early Birds Might Crack This One First… or Not? 🥚🧠
A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?
(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)
