TAURANGA RESIDENTS AND RATEPAYERS GROUP...COME JOIN US

Colleen from Greerton - Parkvale

This page is NO WAY CONNECTED TO THE ONE RUN BY MURRAY GUY

It is a page were Rate Payers and Residents can have their say. Your opinion is valid and everyone else thinks theirs is too.

I started this page because I was tired of some of our Councillors claiming FREE SPEECH, and DEMOCRACY, but I know of three Groups that are administered by Current City Councillors. Papamoa Link has Steve Morris as an Admin. Mount Ratepayers site has Dawn Kiddie and Andrew Hollis and the other Tauranga Ratepayers site has ex Councillor Murray Guy. I believe that these people have a conflict of Interest in being admin of these sites, because if you disagree with them, you are blocked. You will not be blocked from this site, unless you personally abuse other contributors. We do not have agree on everything, but we too have the right to free speech.

It is my fervent wish that Tauranga can go forward, without all the infighting within Council.

Later on we may form a group, if you wish to meet face to face. Let's see how it runs

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.

πŸ›‘οΈ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.

Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.

If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
