Alert level 2
At 12 noon today (Wednesday 12 August) Tauranga moved to Alert Level 2.
Council services and facilities will remain open with measures in place to protect the health and safety of our community and staff. Hereโs what you need to know:

๐๏ธ Mauao is open
๐ Libraries are open
โ๏ธ Although the Customer Service Centre is open, save time and pay online
Please practice safe physical distancing, stay home if you are sick, wash your hands, and call your doctor or Healthline if you have cold or flu-like symptoms.

Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
๐ก๏ธ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and youโre unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:โโ
โ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codesโโ
โ Never need to know your full credit card number โ especially the CVC
โ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your deviceโโ
โ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
