Solar Panels

Doug from ClearShield Surface Restore & Protect BOP Ltd

We all know that your solar panels sitting on the roof of your camper and caravan collect dust, dirt & mould. This contamination does result in reduce efficiency of your solar panels but do you know by how much?
Ritec International, the manufacturer ClearShield glass protection has conducted extensive study and found the following;

- installations lose up to 4% efficiency in the first month of operation.

- contaminated solar panels lose 8% efficiency or more due to dirt and surface damage during the early stage of usage.

- contaminated solar panels will only run at best at 80% efficiency during its operational life due to glass contamination and losses.

The efficiency of solar panels has a direct link to the light transmission of glass, and therefore the cleanliness of the glass surface. In short, the cleaner the glass, the more effective the solar panel. Thanks to the ClearShield Eco-Systemโ„ข, glass on installations can be renovated to remove contaminants on the surface. This in turn restores the installation's peak load performance to its original level.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐Ÿ›ป๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
