A message from Bay of Plenty Police

The Team from Bay of Plenty Police District

With the festive season upon us, the Bay of Plenty Police will continue to focus on taking every opportunity to prevent harm in our communities to ensure we all enjoy a safe and merry xmas period. Please remember that if you are going away on holiday, let your neighbours know so that they can keep an eye on your property. Ensure doors and windows are secured and report any suspicious behaviour. For those that aren't going away, be vigilant and note down registration numbers of any suspicious vehicles and phone Police immediately if offenders are present. Police would rather respond to a call about a suspicious person, than find out later that a burglary could have been prevented if Police had been called. Note down serial numbers of bikes and electronic items and take photographs of any new and valuable items that you receive for xmas. This site is not a platform for reporting crime or suspicious behaviour to Police, that needs to be done by visiting your local Police Station or by telephone. If it is an emergency then phone 111 immediately.
