PLANT SALE - QUARRY PARK - SUN 28 NOV - PLANT DONATIONS WELCOME
An EXTRA plant sale will be held on Sunday 28 Nov (10am-1pm) at Te Puna Quarry Park. For sale are: garden plants, some garden tools, some house plants and some Christmas goodies. Plus there will be a rolling demo of a DEFIBRILLATOR, a raffle, and a coffee cart (with ice cream & hot chips). Proceeds are for necessary repair and ongoing maintenance of the walking tracks in Quarry Park.
We will very much appreciate your DONATION of plants, to widen the range and to boost our sales. If you are digging up garden plants, please consider donating them, ideally potted or in a box. Houseplants (cuttings) are welcome too. We may be able to pick-up.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
