Book - The Chequered Flag – 100 years of motor racing by Ivan Rendall
A superb coffee table book detailing motorsport from its inception in 1894 until publication in 1993.
Arguably the best book of its kind. Well written in great detail covering every aspect of the sport and beautifully illustrated with 100s of photographs.
In addition to the well-presented detailed information there is a ‘Results’ section providing fascinating reference material. The index enables easy lookup of all eras, events, drivers and marques.
Lots of information regarding this well-known and respected collectable book on line – just google the listing heading.
In spite of being well referenced many times, this book is in ‘as new’ condition.
A treasure for any motorsport enthusiast.
Would be a very nice Christmas present.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
