Helping the Homeless and others in need
Some of you may be familiar with a Charity called ‘Under the Stars - Homeless of Tauranga’. I am one of the volunteers. You can find their page on Facebook. It was started and is run by a fantastic woman named Liz Kite.
Every Saturday evening a group of volunteers prepares a meal to serve approximately 50 people. Most are homeless, some are living in shelters, caravans, cars, etc.
Besides food, we are always on the search for clothing, bedding (especially sleeping bags), tents, toiletries.
If you can help with any of the above and/or want to be more involved, please comment or message me and I will get back to you. I’m happy to be a drop off point for donations of the above items, or they can be taken to 39 Cliff Rd on Saturday evenings between 5:30-6pm. (Building is unlocked by 5:30, meal is served at 6pm.)
Thanks. 😊
Please feel free to contact me directly on 0275552872. 😊

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
