THE LOCAL BUSINESS NETWORK (TLBN)

Hannes from Papamoa Beach

Why Join The TLBN?
The purpose of our Network Meetings is to bring the Directory Members together to connect in person. This provides plenty of new opportunities to build relationships and do business together. The key outcomes that we help members achieve are...

1. Better Connections
2. New Ideas and Insights
3. Becoming More Profitable

It's fair to say that The Local Business Network (TLBN) isn't normal networking... many of our members have commented that some of the networking they'd done in the past felt a bit like "speed dating for business owners!". If you've done networking before then you'll know that this isn't a great way to build long term relationships.  Poorly structured networking can lead to a "box full of business cards but no relationships". We don't want that to happen to you!

Here's what Business Owners are saying about why they joined:

to get better connected,
to get new ideas about what others are doing to survive and thrive in my business
to get new perspectives on what you're currently doing in my business
to improve my word-of-mouth marketing
to gain referrals
to meet like-minded business owners
to get out of the office
to make sales
to find good suppliers
to create new opportunities.

NETWORK MEETING FORMATS
ShowRoom is a Networking Meeting to get better connections between you and other local business owners. Better connections means more Word-of-Mouth Marketing and more referrals from business owners who will all be spotting work for you!

BoardRoom is a Mastermind Meeting to generate new ideas and insights for you and your business. Members work together to help each other with their challenges and what’s working, so that you can get your business ahead!

ClassRoom Meetings are Business education workshops with the focus on helping you become more profitable. You’ll get a workbook on a key topic and learn the best strategies and an action plan to implement!

GENERAL NETWORKING: Prior to the Meetings

SHOWROOM: Round Table Meetings

SHOWROOM: Inside Information Sessions

BOARDROOM: Mastermind Meetings

CLASSROOM: Educational Workshops

They're for Business Owners... the people that make the key decisions in their business. This ensures that every person you meet, every connection, is valuable. Whether you're providing products or services to each other, creating opportunities together, or sharing business ideas... there's unlimited opportunity to tap into the people in the room to help you grow your business.

How It Works
The Network Meetings are regular morning meetings held in the same time-slot each fortnight. Usually 7.00am - 8.30am on a weekday.  The meetings alternate between Showroom, Boardroom and Classroom. This way you are well connected with a range of members across the group.

How Much is Membership?
For the list of membership inclusions to go to www.tlb.network... the Membership Page. You'll see what you receive as a Member, plus all the details on the Premier Listing that you receive in the Directory.

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
