Street use bylaw review

Communications from Tauranga City Council

Council is proposing to remove provisions from the Street Use and Public Places Bylaw 2018, which currently prohibit begging and rough sleeping in public places within 5m of retail premises in defined commercial areas. This is because Council considers a bylaw is not the most appropriate way of addressing the perceived problem in relation to begging and rough sleeping in Tauranga. What do you think? Find out more on the reasons for this proposal and have your say at www.tauranga.govt.nz...

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
