Fenced off leash dog park?
I’m new to the area and was surprised that Tauranga doesn’t have any fenced off leash dog parks. One of our dogs is a Beagle and her hunting instincts don’t lend themselves well to off leash areas that aren’t fenced...and I’d love to find somewhere for her (and our other dog) to socialise! We’ve been out to the TECT All Terrain Park...the off leash area there is great and secure but I’m a little scared to lose the Beagle amongst all the brush and there aren’t often any potential doggy playmates around. Does anybody know if Tauranga Council has ever considered building a fenced doggy park? Is there any backstory as to why there isn’t one? I’d drive to any corner of town to use one!
