Closure of part of Pemberton Park from Oct - Apr 2025
Notice from Tauranga City Council - Pemberton Park Closure
As from October this year until around April of next year the Cricket area of Pemberton Park will be closed for the installation of new irrigation, new grass and lighting.
The Council have also said that some of the trees on the edge of Yatton Street will also be removed to allow more sunlight and three new trees will be planted around the reserve.
Access to the rear of the Park from Yatton Street will be available.
Nb: Hopefully the Council will also be installing some seating around the Park as the current seats at the top of the hill are great if you don't want to hear the game and want to breathe in exhaust fumes from all the traffic on Fraser Street.
Update: Park is now fully available with brilliant lighting now working.
