Tauranga's first accessible changing facility
Jo Crean and student Laren Haworth from Tauranga Special School joined us to celebrate the opening of our city’s first accessible changing facility at Hopukiore - Mount Drury Reserve in Mount Maunganui.
The school, with the support of the Tauranga Disability Advisory Group, advocated for the facility on behalf our disabled community, who will be better able to enjoy our coastal environment.
We’ve also teamed up with Changing Places NZ to become a facility within its New Zealand network.
Poll: Is it rude to talk on the phone on a bus?
Buses can be a relaxing way to get home if you have a seat and enough space. However, it can be off-putting when someone is taking a phone call next to you.
Do you think it's inconsiderate for people to have lengthy phone calls on a bus? Vote in the poll, and add your comments below.
