WHAT ARE WE DOING ON THE FIRST DAY OF OUR 2-DAY COROMANDEL TRIP?

Lyn from Tauranga Tasting Tours & Charters

November 27, after travelling to Whangamata & having morning tea at Luv Coffee, we will travel to Cathedral Cove, Hahei. We'll just enjoy the vista from the looking platform as, you need to be very fit to descend the umpteen steps to the beach. Our next stop will be at Cathedral Cove Macadamias. We'll receive a talk about how the orchard runs through the year & view the processing facilities.
"Our macadamias are hand-picked & certified organic. Macadamias are high in fibre & anti-oxidants; contain vitamins A, B group and E, are high in beneficial mono-unsaturated fats and are cholesterol free." This venue has a large range of macadamia products which you can purchase, if you're so-inclined. But we warn you - their macadamia brittle is addictive!
At our next venue, Hot Water Brewing Co, you will get a chance to sample liqueurs from Purangi Estate (Our favorite was the Manuka Honey Liqueur.)or craft beer or green/Black/ & Lapsang Souchon teas, with a piece of pizza to wash them down.
We'll proceed to Mercury Bay Estate for shared platters for lunch & a flight of wines or tea/coffee, & dine in the evening at The Lost Spring.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
