Mauao track closure

Communications from Tauranga City Council

Get your Mauao fix over the weekend as it will be closed during the following times next week to upgrade and resurface the Waikorire track ๐ŸŒ„

- Waikorire track closed: 8am Monday, 12 October to 4pm Friday, 16 October
- All of Mauao closed, all tracks: 7am to 4.30pm, Wednesday 14 October and Thursday 15 October (Friday 16 October if needed).

This means, there will be no public access on Mauao during this time.

Helicopters will be used during these works, so the closures are to ensure public safety.

Access to the summit on Monday, Tuesday (and Friday, if works are complete) will be via the 4x4 track and the Oruahine track.

Singing Santa

Chris Neighbourly Lead from Otumoetai

Hi, I'm after one of the above which also moves whilst singing. Been to The Warehouse and a couple of $2 type shops but unable to find one. Does anyone else have any ideas on where I might find one please?

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
