Walk or run with us to honour, remember or celebrate a hero in your life.
Sunday 22 March 2020 | Coronation Park – Mt. Maunganui
Come and join us in celebrating, acknowledging and remembering the hero in your life.
It could be your dad, or your granny, or your best mate, or Hercules, or Jonah Lomu, or your pet goldfish… whoever it is, dress up and register now for the Waipuna Hospice Super Hero Walk.
** Dress up not compulsory – but there will be PRIZES for the best dressed!
Join us from 9am for registration. The run and walk kicks off at 10am, led by the Tauranga Samba Band.
The walk is approximately 3.6 km and the run is approximately 6.4 km | 40 mins
A fun day out with entertainment, food trucks, prize for best super hero and many other spot prizes.

Choose an option to suit you as an individual or group/organisation.
In our life, each of us has someone that is always a ‘hero’. At Waipuna Hospice we want to embrace our “Super Hero” by celebrating, acknowledging the hero in our life, and by walking in celebration and remembrance of them. It’s a great way to have fun, celebrate life and make the most of every day!
INDIVIDUAL
Register as an individual (over 18years) for $15, then get your friends and family behind you by setting up a GiveaLittle page and help spread awareness.
GROUP/CORPORATE
Come as a group of five individuals for the discounted price of $60.
Get your group or organisation involved by organising a gold-coin donation or sweepstake.
Let your imagination run wild on the day… remember there are prizes for the best dressed!
CHILDREN
Children (under 18yrs) – Remember it’s FREE for you to participant with a paying individual (18 years or over). A fun event for all ages.
MEMBERS
Remember if you’re a member tick the box and receive your discount.
If you’re not a member already, register now to enjoy special offers, early-bird discounts and invitations to events.
Membership makes an impact in the lives of local people in the community affected by terminal illness.
Come and take part in this fun and meaningful event.
At the same time help raise vital funds for Waipuna Hospice to help the 1 in 3 people in our community who will need hospice services this year.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
