Our bright blue beach access mat is back for summer!
Head down to Mount Maunganui Main Beach and try it out for yourself. The mat creates a sturdy and visible path to the beach for people who generally cannot get onto the beach or move across the sand, like those using wheelchairs, mobility scooters or strollers.
The mat is positioned in the walkway next to the cenotaph on Marine Parade (opposite Pacific Avenue/Mount Drury). Enjoy!

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
