Severe thunderstorm watch
MetService has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Bay of Plenty.
These thunderstorms could produce downpours of 25 to 40mm per hour.
Rainfall of this intensity can cause surface and flash flooding, and may also lead to slips. Driving conditions will also be hazardous with surface flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain. Take care, neighbours.
This watch will be updated by 9:00pm Friday 29 Nov 2019.
