Construction of a water mains along a narrow section of the road took five months, including lockdown. A huge thank you to everyone for their patience with these works. Work will continue for a few more weeks further along the road, the speed limit is still 50km/hr in this section.
The new pipeline forms part of the Waiāri Water Supply Scheme, a once-in-a-generation project to provide for Tauranga’s future water supply. Read more about this project on www.tauranga.govt.nz....
