We're all working from home during this lockdown, not just to bring you your favourite gardening mag, but also our Garden Diary 2022! This is where we need your help: Show us how you've been using your 2021 Diary -- take photos of the pages, tell us what was most useful, did you have enough space to write your notes, what have you scribbled on the pages? Did you clip your plant labels on them? Perhaps shoot a little video with your phone as you turn the pages. Your feedback will help us put together next year's diary.
Please email your comments and photos to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, by this Friday, Aug 27. The five most helpful readers will each receive a free copy of the 2022 diary.

Wade Peek was recently named Plastics Apprentice of the Year, is definitely one to watch. With two qualifications under his belt, he’s been earmarked as a future plastics industry leader.
He hopes to one day start his own manufacturing business and says: "I really want to pass on what I have learnt to support apprentices in their training. I also want to be able to teach people outside of the plastics industry about what we do, as I truly believe we can't solve any of the really important environmental issues that surround plastic unless as many people as possible understand it."

As with most businesses I have had to cease my regular customer visits and onsite technical support .
I am however available to provide technical support over the phone/webchat and via Technical Assistance apps that allow me to securely remote into various devices (PC, Laptops, Mobiles & Tablets) and assist as required with you, so if you do have any technical issues or problems please feel free to give me a call and we can discuss the options and make a plan accordingly.
As always phone based inquiries and advice and are always free so if you have a question regarding that stubborn piece of IT just give me a ring and I will do what I can to assist, and if a remote session is required I have structured my remote support activity into 15 minute segments and will be able to invoice by the quarter hour.
My family and I send my best wishes to you all, and hope you all stay fit and well over the lockdown period, and I look forward to resuming my full onsite support services to you after we have come through the lock down period.
Kind regards Kevin

I was informed that there was a fee of $25 to provide the extra bin. After waiting over five weeks for the bin to arrive it was a shock to see that the bin was an old one which was used for shipping rocks and debris and the former owners sticker was still on the bin. I enquired to TCC why old and why if its already been used are you charging $25? The spin doctors from sustainabilty /waste were quick to reply that the fee was not for the bin but for administration AND it has to be paid every year. I used to think that major corporations were very good at unbundling to squeeze every dollar out of its consumers this council is no different. Glad to hear other peoples views on this .
