Every week, our Tauranga donor centre, located at Level 1, 93 Cameron Road, needs 150 plasma donations and 90 blood donations to keep up with growing demand. Currently, we're falling short as winter ills and chills are still causing many of our donors to cancel or reschedule their appointments. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
