WORKING BEE in I’Anson Reserve - Te Puna - Thursday 17 June 9:30am
I’Anson Bush Reserve in Te Puna is undergoing a major transformation. Have you seen it yet? We want to improve it further and continue the ongoing maintenance. After planting new trees last month, we are now back to weeding, and removing unwanted shrubs and trees.
What and where is I’Anson Bush Reserve? This lovely bush reserve with a 2 km walking track around a small lake is situated off Loop Road, which is off SH2, about 500 meter past the Te Puna roundabout on the right (when coming from Tauranga). It is managed by Western Bay District Council, and supported by Forest & Birds and Queen Elisabeth II Trust. A group of enthusiastic volunteers helps for a couple of hours every third Thursday of the month.
More volunteers are needed. Newcomers welcome, no experience needed, various fitness levels accommodated, equipment supplied, training given on the job, satisfaction guaranteed. Just wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves and a water bottle if you wish. We meet at 9:30 am on the car park off Loop Road and we drop the tools by 11:30am. Several of us go for lunch to a nearby café. Car pool available from Katikati.
We also seek dedicated volunteers to look after traplines for pest control. It will take approximately 1 hour a month. All equipment supplied.

Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
