Mauao track closures

Communications from Tauranga City Council

UPDATE 17/11, 4.24pm:

During scheduled maintenance on Mauao today our team found a large boulder/rock that needs to be remove for safety reasons.

The Mauao base track and Oruahine track will remain closed tonight instead of opening at 4pm, as planned, to allow work to continue this evening.

The 4X4 and Waikorire tracks to the summit will remain open.

We are aiming to get all tracks open again by around 6.30am tomorrow morning. Thank you for your patience.
