Street use bylaw review
Council is proposing to remove provisions from the Street Use and Public Places Bylaw 2018, which currently prohibit begging and rough sleeping in public places within 5m of retail premises in defined commercial areas. This is because Council considers a bylaw is not the most appropriate way of addressing the perceived problem in relation to begging and rough sleeping in Tauranga. What do you think? Our amazing Hillary Hikers from Edmund Hillary Village showed their support for Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Move Your Butt campaign this month!
Sporting the bright purple and orange campaign shirts, these wonderful walkers hit the Auckland waterfront and marched from Mission Bay to Kohimarama, raising awareness for bowel cancer and the importance of early detection along the way.
