What do you think of our local parks and sportsgrounds?
That’s the question Taupō District Council is asking the local community, as it launches a new survey about how people use our local parks, reserves and community buildings for sport and recreation.
The feedback will help shape development of the council’s strategy for investment in its sport and recreation network over the coming decade.
The survey, which runs from now until 10 July, is part of a comprehensive review of the current state of play in sport and recreation opportunities within the district.
We are hoping for a large response from the community so we can form a full view of how people use our recreation facilities. As an incentive respondents will go into a draw for pool passes, Fitness Studio memberships, show tickets and more.

While things are looking calmer in the days ahead, there are still plenty of slips and flooded roads across the district — so if you’re heading out, take it easy and stay alert.
