Fresh German bread baked on Friday 1st Ocotber. Delivered within Taupo to your door.

Viola from Taupo Central

Good morning neighbors of Taupo :)
It is baking time again on Friday 1st October.
Would you like a handcrafted healthy warm fresh Artisan German-style bread delivered to your door Friday morning?
(German-style = grainy/seedy, heavy & dense, wholemeal-dark, nutrient-dense, a loaf weights at least a kilo so you can knock people out with it if thrown (multiple advantages to have a German bread!))
Choose from a wide variety of loaves off my menu and put your order through by latest Thursday 30th Oct 4pm.
Available loaves are:
- Wholemeal seeded loaves (with either sunflower or pumpkin seeds or walnuts)
- Pure dark sourdough loaves
- Fruit loaf with loads of dried fruit and peanuts soaked in dark rum and brown sugar
- Artisan Gluten-friendly loaf and The Seedlings loaf (also GF)

Order by either text or call to 021 02521434.
I bake to order only, so no waste or leftover loaves.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Wild weather in the Waikato

The Waikato really copped it over the weekend, with wild weather leaving a hefty clean-up bill that may run into the millions.

While things are looking calmer in the days ahead, there are still plenty of slips and flooded roads across the district — so if you’re heading out, take it easy and stay alert.

We want to know: How did you and your whānau get on over the weekend?

Want to see what recovery will look like from here? The Waikato Times has the latest.
