Freshly baked German-style bread again for Friday 22nd

Viola from Taupo Central

Good morning! I am baking for this coming Friday again. All loaves (8 different types) are individually prepped by hand and contain no preservatives, additives or sugars. I have pure sourdoughs, wholemeal loaves with a selection of different seeds like sunflower, pumpkin or walnuts. Also offering a yeast and flour-free loaf - keto and glutenfree friendly. And for the sweet tooth, I have the fruit loaf on offer. I deliver my loaves directly after baking within the Taupo township. Price includes delivery. Prices start from $8.50 a loaf (approx. 1kg). Order by latest Thursday at 4 pm through phone or text to 021 0252 1343. Thank you :)

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

While things are looking calmer in the days ahead, there are still plenty of slips and flooded roads across the district — so if you’re heading out, take it easy and stay alert.

We want to know: How did you and your whānau get on over the weekend?
