Family-friendly market coming to Northcroft Domain
New market operator Karen Cederwall is excited to create a family-friendly Sunday market at Northcroft Domain.
The mum of two, who has a background in retail and management, will launch the new market on Sunday January 5 2020.
“When I saw that the council were seeking expressions of interest from people interested in running a market, I jumped at the idea,” she said.
“It is a fantastic spot, directly across from our beautiful lake, and I’m really looking forward to what this location will offer.”
After undertaking market research, Cederwall decided on a Sunday market from 9am – 1pm as it would allow more families to come along with their children.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
