Hospice Awareness Week 14th - 20th May 2018
Hospice Awareness Week is an opportunity for Lake Taupo Hospice to profile and celebrate the services that we provide to you – our community. Throughout the week there will be lots of opportunities for you to get to know what we have on offer, how we support and care for those in with life limiting illnesses and how we prepare, comfort and assist their families and friends during the journey. You will get the chance to meet some of our staff and volunteers, tour our facilities and hear about the impact of our work. The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
