How do you find Taupō's rental market?
A Taupō real estate agent has described the rental situation in the district as “desperate” with a property manager saying rents in the region have gone up 20% in the last two years.
Agents and property managers said factors leading to the rental shortage include an influx of power station project workers, holiday homes either left empty or used for short-term accommodation, and a shortage of medium to low rent properties.
