'Text and die' - what did you think of this sign?
TEXT & DIE!! The warning on the large variable message sign board approaching Taupō from the south was unequivocal.
Concerns had been raised by one Stuff reader that the fatalistic sign might be a shock for passing holidaymakers, especially children or those with English as a second language.
The New Zealand Transport Agency was unapologetic.
