Marty McNamara remembers going to air with the very first 6pm 3 National News story the day the network opened in 1989 - and she now lives in Taupō.
But it was news of the demise of her former employer’s entire news division that put her heart in her mouth.

Midday Concert Series 10 May
Kia ora koutou
The next midday concert is at St Andrew's on Friday 10 May from 12-1pm. It will be a two-part concert starting with the brass and wind ensemble 'Blended' followed by the Taupō Strings Orchestra. It's $5 to enter. Bring a friend and see you there. Everyone is welcome.
