Kittens available for adoption
Hi all
Would anyone be looking to introduce a new kitten/s or another cat/s into their lives or know of anyone not in social media looking for a kitten?? Well ... I have the deal for you!
We are looking for two more homes for the trapped kittens. Gender unknown at this stage for the two left, likely male.
They are beautiful regal looking, tabby with beautiful stripes and spots on belly. While they are feral, feral kittens make the best pets in the end because they make an incredible bond with the owner and this is generally because they have not had the best start.
What you need to know:
1. Kittens are in Broadlands with foster, this is 18kms outside of Taupo. Given weight of female, I'd say they're 10-12 weeks old.
2. You will need to keep them in an area to socialise, this is important. Would be great for a family who has school holidays approaching.
I had one of the girls over the weekend, the foster couldn't handle much (this is what's called spicy). I was handling her day one, day three she was cuddling on my lap in bed watching fishes on the phone.
I'm happy to help with this process as have a bit of experience with taming the ferals, if someone is interested I'm happy to also have kittens here for a week to introduce forced socialising (I work from home). I am in Kinloch, that's 25km outside of Taupo.
3. We will get desexed and chipped under community program. This will come at a cost of $30 to the new owner. Currently female kitten was 1.2kgs, slightly to small for desex (better females are 1.5kg to give chance to get over desexing). Vaccination can be arranged at extra cost, this is also recommended for $35 for first one, second one is $85. When you get a SPCA kitten they generally only have first vaccination, second vaccination is on new owner.
4. By adopting one of these beautiful kittens you would be knowing you have been part of the solution of our overwhelming issue of non desexed and dumped animals in Taupo, and would be giving these babies a great life, which they wouldn't have had for them not being trapped 💕

Time to Tickle Your Thinker 🧠
If a zookeeper had 100 pairs of animals in her zoo, and two pairs of babies are born for each one of the original animals, then (sadly) 23 animals don’t survive, how many animals do you have left in total?

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.
Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.
