Poll: What do you think of increasing usage fees on Lake Taupō?
Hi neighbours,
Ramp fees, mooring and marina berthing fees for Lake Taupō are all going up by 22 per cent with further raises possible in the next 3 years.
The fee rises mean a current casual (24hrs) ramp fee of $5 increases to $6, while a 12 months ramp fee of $90 increases to $110. More substantial dollar value increases are seen in marina berth fees, for example a parallel, over 12.5m length berth at Taupō and Motuoapa marinas goes from $4000 annually to $4880.
The DIA says it will bring the fees on Lake Taupō into line with other lakes and marinas around the country.
