These opportunistic thieves lurk behind vehicles or circle our streets on bikes, searching for freshly delivered parcels.

Jaime Belsar said porch pirates stole from her 2-month-old baby, Finn, last week. "They're lower than low," she said.

Yet it is not part of our school curriculum.

Some experts say that has to change. It is such an existential threat that not to make it a requirement to teach children about climate change is doing them a great disservice, they say.
