Palmerston North Airport Fly Palmy is sponsoring the opening night movie, Vai. It follows the journey of empowerment through culture over the lifetime of one woman, Vai. Vai was shot in Pacific Islands and New Zealand and is the word for water in Pacific countries. The character is played by a different indigenous actress in each of the countries.

Taupō District Council has confirmed there will be a procession on Wednesday night at 7pm for those wishing to show their support, sympathy and respect for the victims of Christchurch’s mosque attacks.

The procession will start at the Taupo Islamic Centre on Tamamutu St and will end at Colonel Roberts Reserve. People can bring candles if they wish. Condolence books are being set up at the district's libraries and customer service centres. They should be ready at about 2pm.

People with information that can help the investigation can now use a dedicated form on the NZ Police website here

This form can be used to submit information, photos and/or documents. You can also use the form to tell us if you have video footage, which can be submitted separately.

People are advised that this is not an emergency channel and that if they see anything suspicious or need urgent help they should ring 111.
