Poll: Are petrol companies ripping us off?

Jay Boreham Reporter from Rodney Times

Energy Minister Judith Collins has announced an inquiry into petrol prices and why some areas pay so much more at the pump.

It follows figures published by MBIE suggesting fuel margins have more than doubled in five years and companies will have to front up and explain why some areas pay so much more than others and front up if it's found they are ripping some regions off.

Rodney and Hibiscus Coast coast petrol prices are often 10 to 20 cents more than other areas. Do you think we are being ripped off?

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
