Nicole Mathewson Reporter from Northern Outlook

Rangiora Borough School principal Alan Sutton, 66, died in Ashburton on Sunday.

The school hall would be open daily from 10am till 12 noon this week, for people anyone who wished to leave flowers or messages, a school spokesperson said.

The school would hold a service to celebrate Sutton’s life in the hall on Tuesday, and the community was encouraged to come along to celebrate his life. The service would be livestreamed.

Our thoughts are with Alan's family, friends and school community.
