Volunteers and trainee coaches needed
North Canterbury Riding for the Disabled is looking for volunteers and anyone interested in furthering their training by becoming a coach - a voluntary position but all course fees and related costs covered by our organisation. Volunteering is extremely rewarding and the North Canterbury branch provides the opportunity to give back a little to those among us who have some challenges in life. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
