Work nearly finished to connect Waimakariri water schemes
Work to make improve water supplies for several North Canterbury communities will be finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
The Waimakariri District Council said the Woodend-Tuahiwi and Pegasus water supplies would be connected more than one month earlier than planned, and for $84,000 less than the budgeted $811,000.
Plans to remove chlorine from the Pegasus supply have been deferred though until the Government decides whether all water supplies across the country need to be chlorinated.
