Former army officer joins mayoral race in the Waimakariri district
A 34-year-old former army officer is the latest addition to the Waimakariri mayoral race.
Oliver Sanderson, from Waikuku, announced his intention to stand this week.
Sanderson joins sitting councillors Paul Williams, Robbie Brine and Dan Gordon in the race to the top. Veteran politician Jo Kane is also understood to be running.
